A one-day workshop designed to help organizational leaders, executive teams and entrepreneurs develop new tools for stimulating creativity and growth in their businesses.

Led by Goodwin Associates founder Constance Goodwin and colleague David Bradley, who together bring decades of experience in innovative approaches to leadership coaching, the workshop focuses on dynamic strategies that will help leaders draw on their own experiences and personal stories, be present to the possibilities in any new situation and inspire and respond to the creativity and potential of the partners, teams and clients with whom they work.

"We often think that leadership is a quality that some have and some don't, or that there are set rules for how to be a leader," says Goodwin. "But it's a creative process, and it is created minute by minute, encounter by encounter. The best leaders and teams aren't relying on old models and hierarchies—they're responding imaginatively to new situations. This workshop encourages the kind of imaginative outlook that leads to authentic, lasting growth."

This one-day event can take place on-site at a business and is also ideal as part of an off-site retreat. An active, experiential morning session will engage participants in activities that are verbal, visual, physical and fun, encouraging them to break habits, see themselves in new ways and envision their work as a space for imagination and risk. Participants will explore creative processes for being responsive to any situation, while also learning to draw on their own personal stories and experiences to reframe their approach to team-building and generating ideas.

In an afternoon session designed as a collaborative lab, participants will use the processes and discoveries of the morning to envision a variety of approaches for particular challenges they might encounter in their work.

Goodwin and Bradley explain that the "Creating Leadership" workshop has evolved from their years of working in the arts and with a variety of CEO's and entrepreneurs and directly addresses the challenges of leadership in the shifting landscape of the 21st century economy.
